THE SHERWOOD STORY

Sherwood has its roots in the Aluminum & Brass Company, a foundry established in the early 1900's.  This company, realizing the growing importance of accurate, controlled gas flow in the many applications of compressed gas, purchased the Sherwood Valve Company of Buffalo in 1923 and began manufacturing compressed gas valves.  Over the next 60 years, Sherwood earned a reputation for products that not only kept pace with customer requirements, but anticipated their changing needs.  In 1985, Sherwood was acquired by the Harsco Corporation.  This merger had added many new opportunities for further growth and development.

Today, Sherwood is consistently recognized throughout the industry as producers of the best gas control equipment on the market.  We are the only totally integrated brass valve manufacturer in North America.  Our highly trained and experienced technicians keep the company on the cutting edge of new technology and development.  Skilled engineers who are thoroughly familiar with conditions in every type of gas control situation can custom design valves, flat gauges and regulators and produce them for specific applications.  This continuing advancement in engineering, manufacturing techniques and materials are reflected in all Sherwood products.  State of the art regulators, valves, float gauges and accessories bearing the Sherwood name serve the compressed gas, aerospace, life support, propane and scuba industries.
